BIO: Olamide

Badoo as he is fondly called is a rap lord. Dominating the street arena of rhythm and poetry of Nigeria’s music industry, Olamide has consistently distinguished himself.

He was born in Bariga, Lagos State. In 2000, he decided to pursue a career in music. In 2010, he was able to perform at The Hip Hop World Awards [Now The Headies]. He studied at Tai Solarin University of Education.

In 2011, he released his debut studio album titled Rapsodi. The album’s lead single “Eni Duro” charted on several radio stations in Lagos. Olamide’s debut offering led to collaborations with numerous artists, including Wizkid, ID Cabasa, 9ice, Reminisce and D’banj. Olamide’s second studio album, YBNL, was released in November 2012. The album’s production was handled by Tyrone, Samklef, 2 Kriss, Pheelz and ID Cabasa.

Olamide is known for his strong work ethic especially due to his consistency in releasing hit songs and albums to complement. He had Baddest Guy Liveth in 2013, Street OT in 2014 and just recently released the bomb Eyan Mayweather.

On 17 July 2013, Olamide signed an endorsement deal with Cîroc. He also currently has a deal with Guinness, Etisalat and SureBet.
